Exotic Leather Tannery

The project involves the comprehensive renovation and functional reorganization of an exotic leather tannery. The intervention was designed to modernize the industrial facility by optimizing the production layout and upgrading the specialized infrastructure required for high-end leather processing.
Our firm provided general technical consultancy during the site acquisition phase, ensuring the property met the complex regulatory and operational requirements of the tanning industry. This was followed by the architectural design (in collaboration with Studio KUADRA) and construction supervision of the facility.

The design focuses on a clear subdivision between the primary work areas (comprising the wet area and the finishing area) and the dedicated service (e.g. staff canteen and changing rooms) and administrative zones. A significant portion of the intervention involved the reorganization of the external areas (with parking, green areas, new roads) to improve site logistics and accessibility.

Internally, the project required the precise integration of specialized technical systems and the strategic planning of the industrial facilities essential for the tanning process. The project also included the execution of bespoke furniture and custom interior solutions for the office areas.

The facades, constructed using precast prestressed reinforced concrete structures, were partially concealed by a vertical cladding system. This architectural solution was employed to mitigate the visual impact of the building and to break down the scale of its large volumes.

Throughout the construction phase, our team managed the procurement and coordination with specialized suppliers to ensure the seamless delivery of both the technical infrastructure and the final finishes.
