The project originates from the desire to transform the educational complex into a more functional and welcoming hub.
The main intervention is the construction of a new nursery, accompanied by a complete reorganization of the open spaces and circulation paths.
The goal is to create an integrated environment that improves connections between the existing schools (kindergarten, primary and secondary schools) and offers new services to the community.
In collaboration with the school’s administration, the architectural concept of the project organizes spaces and activities as if gathered around a communal pond, developing an original architectural language that informs materials, colors, and forms. The nursery that accommodates 30 children up to 3 years old is the heart of this small urban renovation. It is conceived not only as an educational space but also as a distinctive architectural element with a design inspired by the soft, organic lines that characterize the water landscape of a pond, with its waves, the water lilies. The building features a wide, sinuous roof, from which circular volumes emerge, interacting with the pedestrian paths and creating welcoming shaded areas in the outdoor zones.
The interior is organized around a large central hall, the true heart of the nursery. Its high ceiling, supported by a structure reminiscent of a tree, recalls natural forms and creates a bright and evocative environment.
